I thought an early start would let Serious play for a bit longer.

If we know you’re joining us we can get a brigantine and spend the first 30 or 40 minutes gathering provisions (and/or fishing :fishing1: ) before you arrive.

Apparently the reaper shipwrecks are really worth checking out after the update as they may contain some higher value reaper chests, worth about 25K a pop!

They have to be handed in to the Reaper's hideout, so much riskier as that's the focus of this current update. Should make for some interesting pirate action!

Thanks for the sailing last night crew, was fun!

We had some laughs.
We made some coin/XP.
We had a few battles, some longer than others.
We fought lots of skellies.
We found out taking on a meg on a Brig with two players is pure hell.
We left a lovely load of supplies for someone, although skullduggery did cross our minds.
And Hammy managed to time out just as we were about to vote him into the brig! :D

My stream of it can be found here

Was wondering what happened there! But you did help me earn another achievement and over 10,000 gold so very kind thank you! :)

Good game last night! Focusing on the ashen chests was a good challenge and was cool seeing how other stuff just came our way in the process. The ship battles were spot on... best run against them yet!

No worries! I think that commendation will enable you to buy the Ashen Hurdy Gurdy. :)

Be good to try and complete those Ashen tomes. I feel we are becoming quite the efficient Mojo Brig Crew.

Yes, thank you, lads, for another great session. It does feel like we're becoming quite an effective team, especially with skelly ship battles and docking the ship.

It was strange to see so few players on the server. I enjoyed the touch of mystery on that island with two mermaids (just after Serious left us). Never did find the player belonged to. I hadn't realised that telescopes give off such a bright light either, learnt something new there.

Maybe next time we should go after those new challenges because if the servers are less full it should be safer.

I previously thought only the Sniper scope had the glint but it seems i was wrong. Might be worth testing just how far the glint travels one day? I.e. leave someone on an island and look back with the spyglass as sailing away to see when it becomes not visible.

According to the latest Dev Update, only 7.5% of players are currently opting out of cross-play and the server activity on both seems equal. Although allegedly some outer hours are less populated, which may be when we're on.

I'm happy to try the new challenges too, as they'll be much easier without a cavalcade of douches waiting to pounce as we approach Reaper's Hideout.

According to the SoT wiki there is a possible bug where a mermaid may not vanish after being used, which could explain our predicament and the paranoia that ensued. :D

Interesting!

Yes, I was thinking the same thing about testing scope glint. It looked incredibly bright at short range last night, like someone flashing a signal light.
